REPs Ireland has been asked by CoCo TV/RTE to assist in sourcing a Registered Exercise Professional to take part in a new TV series

The outline of the show is below and the appropriate contact details to express an interest.

REPs Ireland is keen that any exercise professional that has the opportunity to promote health, wellness & fitness to the public nationally, be appropriately qualified, insured, committed to ongoing professional development and adheres to a code of ethical conduct.

With this in mind we would invite all Registered Exercise Professionals to put themselves forward for this role.

As an indication of the standards required, any Registered Exercise Professional applying should have the following as a minimum:

  • Current REPs Ireland registration at EQF L4 or above (or be eligible to Register)
  • Minimum 5 years experience working with the public
  • Experience of working with at risk/special populations (There will be a wide variety of public health issues that will need to be addressed in this role)
  • Additional appropriate CPD completed in the areas of health, nutrition and wellness.
  • Garda Clearance (or the ability to complete same)
  • Code of Ethics & Good Practice for Children's Sport (or ability to complete) ( )
  • Be comfortable that this will be a high profile role that will have professional responsibilities attached, including representing the Register of Exercise Professionals.

The above guidelines are just that.
Due to the nature of the role, in addition to being appropriately qualified and experienced, other factors relating to an on screen role such as this will be taken into account in selection.

The screening and selection process will be performed by the TV series producers, REPs Ireland will have no influence in the final decision.

REPs Ireland will be happy to give advice & direction any exercise Professional in becoming registered and arranging Garda vetting or Code of Ethics training as required.
