REPs Ireland update
The Board of Ireland Active have appointed Vincent O'Flaherty to the role of REPs Ireland Registrar. We have also employed a new administrator, Niamh Norton, to take over the general administration duties of REPs Ireland. Vincent will work initially on accreditation with new and existing providers, maintaining the register as well as updating the website and registration system over the coming months.
Vincent O'Flaherty profile
With a background in education, training and standards Vincent is currently studying for a PhD in Education at DCU having lectured there and at UCD. He worked with the FAI for eight years in Child Safeguarding and Training and joined Ireland Active earlier this year, setting up and managing our eVetting system for members. Vincent qualified from Sligo IT in Recreation & Leisure and is a qualified teacher having completed his HDip at UCD in 2006. He is looking forward to working with education and training providers in developing standards and growing the register at REPs Ireland which will help further raise standards in the industry in Ireland.
